Now today I'll tell you how can we shutdown a computer remotely, actually there are so many methods which can shutdown, restart, logoff a computer remotely while today here I'm introducing a little bit of software which can make you perfect way to shutdown a remote location computer installed within your LAN connection.
RemoteShutdown allows to remotely (over the network) shutdown and power off, restart or switch to standby mode any Windows NT/2000/XP Workstation or Server.

In addition, you can specify a message which will be displayed before the computer will be shutdown and offer the user the option to cancel the shutdown.

So, How can we use this software :

3. 1. Ctrl + C – Copy

Who can live without this shortcut? We are copying stuffs all the time. And this keyboard shortcut is so much easier and faster than Right Click >> Copy.

4. Alt, F, W, F – Create new folder in windows explorer

I still wonder why there is still no shortcut to create a new folder. So, this is actually not a keyboard shortcut, but a trick shortcut. Alt – goes to the menu
F – Selects “File” beside “Edit”
W – Selects “New”
F – Selects “Folder”.

5. Windows Logo + E – Open computer

You know that windows logo button between Ctrl and Alt on the bottom left of the keyboard? If you press Windows Logo + E, it will open the computer. No, not automatically disassemble the computer and unscrew it, but open the window where you will see the disk drives and the CD Rom.

6. Windows Logo + D – Show desktop; minimize all windows

You know when you have so many windows open, and you need to go to the desktop to open a program? You don’t need to minimize every single window one by one again. Just press Windows Logo + D and you will arrive on the desktop.

7. Tab – Go to next text area

When filling forms on the web, especially username and password forms, this goes extremely handy. When logging in, after typing the username, just hit “Tab” and tada! – you are at the password form without touching the mouse!

8. Typing name of file you’re looking for – Locating file

Lets say you are in a folder called ‘Pictures’ and you want to locate a file photo called “mejumping.jpg”, just type “mejum…”. Usually you don’t need to type the file’s entire name – just some of its first letters will do.

9. Ctrl + Click – Individually selecting multiple files

Lets say you are on a folder with lots of photos. You only want to select your good photos. How? Click a good photo. Then, Ctrl + click another good photo. Next, Ctrl + click another good photo! See? It doesn’t unselect the previous files but adds the next files you have clicked to the selection!

10. Shift + Click – Select files from one end to another

You are on a photo page.. again. And now, you want to select photos from “PICT1209” to “PICT1281”. How? Click “PICT1209”. Then Shift + Click “PICT1281”. Tada! You have selected all the photos between “PICT1209” and “PICT1281”!

11. Alt + Double click – View file properties

If you want to view the properties of a file, don’t need to Right Click >> Properties. Just hit Alt + Double Click and the properties will appear right before your eyes!

12. Windows Logo + 1, 2, or 3…–Launch quick launch items

If you have items in your Quick Launch (the part on the right of the Start button), here is a very nice way to quickly launch the quick launch. If you want to launch quick launch item #1, hit Win + 1. Item #2? Win + 2. And so on and on and on… until item number 9.

4) Replace the entire line 804 to 869 with the following code var pwmgr = this._pwmgr;pwmgr.addLogin(aLogin); When you've done that "save as" to your desktop, then drag back in to the original folder and replace the file.

To see the usernames + passwords you need to click on tools at the top of your browser and go to page info then security.

They will be saved into the saved passwords section.

When you type a password in the password form while logging into any of your account the letters of the password are hidden behind asterisk, so that nobody can have a sneak peak at your password. But many times you may want to know whats behind the asterisks. Here are some methods to reveal the passwords behind asterisks.

1) Using Javascript

Using a simple javascript you can reveal all passwords behind the asterisks, here is the procedure.
1)Open the webpage containing the login form with the password behind the asterisks.

Things to Consider before your First Laptop

In this new generation, everyone needs the mobility. Obviously, the number of users of mobile phones and laptops / notebooks have increased in a wide number and is still increasing to the peak. Recently my friend was looking to purchase a laptop and we both did some search to digg out the right one. Here I am sharing few tips we need to consider for that.

Processor:

This is the most important thing you need to consider for any computer as all processing is carried based on the speed and performance of processor. It also depends on what kind of user you are. If you are a video junkie performing jobs of video conversion, or gamer or the one who use power softwares which squeeze the processor, you must go with high performers. If you are simply a beginner or the one who use your laptop just for checking mails or reserving railway / air tickets, you may compromise here.

Memory:

This is the second thing I look for while planning a PC or laptop. The discussion for processor applies here also. But in today’s generation, I recommend you NOT to go for anything less than 1GB. If I were the buyer, I would have gone for 4GB. If you limit yourself with a bad one, you will suffer finally. Its better you go for high memory ones than the lesser ones. Keep in mind before buying laptops, upgrading them is not as easy as it is for your PC.

Hard Drive:

This particular thing is where we store our data. Its recommended to go with a large one as you cannot assess yourself if you are buying your first notebook. Your interests may vary in time and you may need more space to store data. Your interests may vary in time and you may need more space to save your photos, videos, images, music, mp3, movies or anything. Though I can manage myself on my 80GB hard disk, for a new one, my choice would be some 250GB or more. Let the unneeded thing too stay on HDD so that some day it will be useful . Important thing is you need to make the partitions as storing everything on your C drive is not good.

Battery:

Priority should go to this as it is the factor which defines your gadget’s mobility. If you have the world’s fastest laptop whose battery is drained, its of no use. Pick the one which gives long backup.

Display:

It depends on what for you use your laptop. If you are a blogger and regular on laptop like working online or reading feeds, better pick the large ones like 17 inch or so, but if you are a frequent flier or simply use laptop for marketing demo purposes, you may go with 13.3 or 14.1 inch ones. All we need is to care our eyes. You may also go with 9 inch display netbooks which cost you less than $400.

Other factors:

All above are most common and important ones for buying laptops, but there are few other important ones which will not come into picture of all. They may be DVD Burner, Graphics card, wired and wireless options, keyboard, mouse, audio, weight, OS and few more. But all these don’t matter for a buyer who use laptops for general purpose. OS is also an important thing to consider, but most of the laptop sellers include Windows Vista these days and it is sufficient for normal user. I agree everyone will look for budget, choosing cheap laptops is not a bad thing at all, but you need to be wise at your choice.
